D. Early Growth Scan with Gender Scan (14-19 weeks)

The  Early Growth Scan with Gender scan is different from the Early Gender Scan (Mr Penman offers this at the time of the Nuchal Scan).

The Early Growth Scan with Gender Scan is performed between 14 and 19 weeks and costs £145

Benefits for your baby…..

  • Allows the doctor to check your baby is growing in line with previous scans.
  • Allows the doctor to check basic structure and anatomy  –  but not in as much detail as formal anomaly scan.
  • Allows assessment of the fetal gender.  At 16 weeks the external genitalia is fully formed and accuracy rate of 99.9% can be achieved.  See Baby Gender Scan Overview for more information.
  • Full detailed report is given to you at the end of the consultation with DVD and images, along with recording of the fetal heartbeat.
